Northeast Heights Homes for Sale
The Northeast Heights of Albuquerque witnessed economic events in the middle of the 20th century that produced a new group of people who were inclined to relocate and buy newly constructed homes. New Mexico promised local jobs, a favorable high desert climate, and opportunities never before available. The 1950 Census placed Albuquerque as a major metropolitan with a population of more than 100,000. Over 12,000 homes were built in the 40's and into the 50's. Construction was confined to homes for sale in the Northeast Heights. Albuquerque real estate sales were booming with a steady supply of newly constructed homes.

Requirements for housing in the Albuquerque Northeast created a change in how Albuquerque real estate was developments. The norm became entire subdivisions of homes for sale constructed by a single builder. The 3 largest builders were Sam Hoffman, Dale Bellamah, and Ed Snow. These 3 men, revolutionized real estate construction producing thousands of homes in Northeast Albuquerque. Bellamah started with less than a handful of homes for sale in Albuquerque, NM. By the late 40's, Bellamah developed entire subdivisions of homes. Hoffman and Bellamah became the fourth and sixth largest home developers globally.
